Sara Yahia is an audiovisual artist working in multiple facets of film production, as a producer cinematographer, colorist, editor, and director, Her interdisciplinary approach is exploring mixed media and textile art. Sara's documentary "Mother of the Unborn" won the IDFA Special Jury Award for First Appearance In (in honor of Peter Wintonick) and received the FIPRESCI award for Best Documentary at the Abu Dhabi Film Festival. Her work has been exhibited globally in festivals including the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA), Sheffield International Documentary Festival, Thessaloniki Film Festival, Yamagata International Documentary Film Festival in Tokyo, JCC- Carthage Film Festival, Malmo Arab Film Festival, as well as MOOOV-Film Festival -Brugge and Turnhout. Sara currently lives and works between Cairo, Munich, and Berlin.
